Bea Mills is a nationally recognized field investigator and author with a deep connection to Hocking Hills. Originally a skeptic, she transformed into a believer following her encounter on April 6, 2014, when she and colleagues documented anomalous footsteps and vocalizations during a night expedition.
In 2019, Bea was honored as Bigfooter of the Year by Bigfoot Times—the first woman and just the second Ohioan to receive the award.
She led and recorded one of the longest vetted Sasquatch track lines to date and compiled over one terabyte of vocalization recordings throughout her five-year investigation.
Featured on the Travel Channel’s Finding Bigfoot and a leader in the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO).
Author of BIGFOOT: A Methodology of Madness, a field-guide that outlines her four‑principle investigative methodology.
Founder and director of the Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival & Conference (est. 2022), hosting public and private expeditions, speaking engagements, and book signings.
An Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist since 2014, she actively educates the public about cryptid research and local ecology through field training and workshops.

Since the Girl Scout days, having the opportunity to help others learn, and experience our natural areas, while giving back to tomorrow's future is what sets my heart on fire. Couple that with fun, friendship, adventure and making time for great life memories, BeaOutdoors embraces that spirit. Having founded a strong running charity conference since 2016, hundreds of children have gotten to experience the joys of Camp! I have been featured on Travel Channel's' Finding Bigfoot, am a nationally recognized public speaker, and BFRO (Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization) Expedition Leader. I have recorded the largest known collection of Sasquatch Vocalizations in the world, and have casted the longest vetted track line (to date), in history. I am an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, and Volunteer for the Emergency Management Agency. I work full time in the Medical field, and am a Referral Agent with e-Merge Real Estate. In spare time, you can find me enjoying fishing, hunting, gardening, boating, hiking, camping, photography and family!
